Why I Started My Herbal Blog
Growing and finding out more about herbs have been part of my life since childhood. I simply love herbs and try to use them every day - in my food, medicine or cosmetics and growing herbs in my herb garden is a truly fulfilling practice. I've run herb businesses for the last 5 years and love to share my knowledge and to gain more knowledge on these wonderful plants.
Herbs seem to be mystified a bit and few people understand how easy it is to grow and use them. I started my blog as an outlet for my happiness in working with these plants and to be a source of information and inspiration to everyone who wants to learn more about herbs and how to use them.
Advice
- Live your herbs in your daily life - spend time in your herb garden, cook with your herbs, make herbal gifts for friends and family out of your herb garden and pantry, even look at some herbal remedies for common ailments.
- Don't be afraid to play around with your herbs - they should be a source of joy in your life.
- Learn and learn and learn - the more you know the more you know you don't know!
- Expand your herb interests - if you mainly cook with herbs, look at incorporating them into your life in other ways, e.g. cosmetics or if you only use herbs as medicines, try out a few interesting herb food recipes.
