Fungi are primitive plants, that are lacking in chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the pigment that allows green plants to convert sunlight to food.
What Does Fungi Look Like?
Most fungi is visible to the naked eye. Colors can range from black to white, even a sort of grey coloration.
How Is Fungi Spread?
Fungi reproduces by spores. These spores are the equivalent of seeds in other plantlife. Spores are hardy enough to survive winter and cause disease again the next season. Some fungi is beneficial in the garden, however.
