Lemon Balm Herb Tea

Monday April 28, 2008

When I plan gardens, I often choose herbs that seem to taste great together and try to create a nice arrangement for a ready-made herb tea garden. This is a great idea for a farmers market item and can be designed in a single pot. Because tea herbs can and should be snipped often, they do not outgrow the pot like a single larger plant might.

Lemon balm is usually a regular plant in any herb tea garden I make. Lemon balm is loved by everyone and makes a great tea, either hot or cold.

I like lemon tea. I live where the climate is hot and the hot weather could lasts 9 months or so, so lemon tea with ice is wonderful to me.

We love iced tea here too. Do you ever use Hibiscus flowers in yours? I like that it makes the tea that deep red color and I really like mixing lemon flavored herbs together.
