Herb Seed Swap

Wednesday November 26, 2008

Mother Earth News magazine(Buy Direct), has a great article that I think we should all read this month. On page 35 of the Dec/Jan 2009 issue, Best Seeds for Bigger Better Gardens, by Barbara Pleasant, is full of reasons why saving seeds make sense. The biggest takeaway is the idea that saving and swapping seeds locally, can result in healthier plants in your region. I propose we all take time to do a seed exchange with other herb gardeners.

In the Herb Gardens forum, there is a thread for posting your seeds to trade and what seeds you may be looking for. I have listed at least 4 of my best growers. Please join us and find some great seeds for your garden next year. For the price of a stamp, you can put some seeds in an envelope and swap away! I have a free seed packet printable that you can print and make your own little packets. They are perfect for holding a few seeds in your trades.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks so much for your support!
