Networking For Herbal Business

Tuesday July 22, 2008

It is always important to network with not only possible customers, but suppliers, who can help your business find it's special niche. I recently found a supplier of local honey and beeswax for my salves, balms and soaps. I am happy to find as much of the essentials to my business in my own state, as I can. This is great for my marketing, and great for other small suppliers who also benefit from having their name linked to other goods.

Very accommodating and knowledgeable, Sandhills Honey Bottling Co., was a great neighbor at the local Nebraska Made display this past weekend.

Great reason to network Amy! Networking with other business owners is also a great way to get support - and - grow your business.

Sometimes people misunderstand networking and think “why would I network with a bunch of people in similar businesses - aren’t we all competitors?”

The truth is, there is probably some overlap in your business, but the benefit you get from networking - the support, the idea sharing, the referrals - can really help your business not only grow, but flourish.
